What is the SHT-SFL?

The SuperHappyTime - Simulated Football League is the simulation of sports teams in a sports league.

I may be a little nostalgic here. One of my childhood pastimes was simulating sports games, and enjoying the computers playing one another. I didn't have an abundance of friends or family my age, but I love sports, competition, and simulations. To me, that's why starting my own sports league seems like the fun thing to do.

I have been doing this for the past 3-4 years. My league is currently hosted using Pro Evolution Soccer 2015, but has been running since PES2015. As for why I'm using PES2015:
-It's available on the PC. I feel this gives it a a higher chance to let me edit beyond the "standard" gameplay
-A highly editable game. I've had issues in the past with EA Games in this regard. I was planning an NHL League when I was stopped from making more than 6 new teams worth of players (I think it was exactly 100, but not positive there)
-Soccer is a game that I've slowly been getting more acquainted with (mostly through gambling)
-PES is a technically balanced game that accurately portrays it's sport. Another dig at Fifa, which has it's occasional "Arcade Moments"

Regarding using PES2015 over other versions of the game:
-PES 2013 is the earliest version of the game that I own, so anything before that isn't likely to be touched
-Looking back, PES 2013 is very much the oldest of the four titles I have. It makes for a great simulator, but lacks the feeling of a game.
-PES 2014 does a great job as being both a modifiable program and generating an atmospheric feel of a sporting game. Unfortunately the simulation is easily the worst of the four.
-PES 2015 has made up for a lot of the shortcomings of PES 2014, being a better simulation while not lacking the modifiable ability and sporting feel. However a number of options from 2014 are missing, including the ability to play in "Cup Mode" with two teams in "Coaching Mode" (My preferred way of simulation, as I'm not required to play for either team)
-PES 2016 does not currently have a good Player Stat Editing Program available. If there is, I haven't found it yet.

As for the competing teams:
-I intend to create a "fair playing field" for teams to rise and fall through the League.
-There are a number of teams that I have been constructing the identity for for at least four years.
-There are some teams which lack said identity, but if the team achieves under my fair play, they may grow faster than other teams.
-Teams present in the Top League will receive much more treatment than those from the Lower Leagues

As for the League Itself:
-I can only simulate games based on the program's limitations
-I cannot simulate lifestyle choices that may occur that influence a real-life player (crime, family moments, etc.)

As for the simulation, and this blog:
-I'm going to try to update the league's progress as often as possible
-I'm going to try to start filling in gaps in the league's history since PES2013
-A number of items I have created take heart from unoriginal or sloppy ideas (For example, a good number of teams are based on locations in the U.S. I am slowly working to correct this, but if you are willing to volunteer your suggestions, I may be more than willing to incorporate them

Finally, from me to you,
