How We Got Here: The Majors Tournament

The 2015 season drew to a quick end when I discovered that PES2016 rosters could not only be edited, but could be edited in excel. This lead to a quick end to Season 2 of the 2015 Prime League, with Houghton Club defeating Poos AFC in the League Playoff Final.

The Prime League (PES2014) kicked off with 16 teams for Season 1 and 32 Major League teams (previously imagined, but vying in a simulated format) for promotion.
Season 2 saw a move to PES2015 and the fruition of the league, from 16 Prime Teams to 20. However, The remaining 28 teams would not fit into a single 24 team league, spreading to a second 20-team league where the remaining 16 teams were turned into the Minor League. Season 2 was to feature a full season for the Prime League, while the Minor League would play intermittent with the first third of the season and each division's champion would continue playing as a division's 8th Major Team.
Only the Minor League teams had been edited, with the Major Leaguers left to go when it was discovered that PES2016 could utilize Excel.
Season 2 was cut short to bring a Season 3 to life in a new program. With the Minor Leagues done and the Winning team was automatically promoted to the Major League, as well as the completed Prime League with a relegated team,, the Major League was left with nine teams.
The Majors Tournament was setup to determine which teams would remain in the 24 team Major League and which teams would be relegated to the expanded 20 team Minor League. Given that the Minor League Champions had played and earned their position in the Majors, the tournament was boiled to the seven Major teams and the Prime League Relegates (who were given an opportunity to return to the Prime League at the risk of possible double demotion that season).
Teams would play a minimum of two games against opponents with similar records for game 2. If they lost both games, the team would be relegated to the Minor League. If they won two games they would play in a third game for the chance to be promoted to the Prime League.

In the end, the following is the result of the Tournament:
Won Promotion (Prime League)
NE: Kings of Football
NW: Archemedia
SE: Barbers Union
SW: Valeria Club

Minor League Champ (Major League)
NE: Lake City Football
NW: Appleton
SE: Botchil City**
SW: Coastal Club Football

Relegated (Minor League)
NE: Football Quake, Green County Football**
NW: Apple Valley, Roseley FC
SE: Purgatory Zachriel SC, Keven FC
SW: FC Bombay, Treason Football

The final order of business came with the bankruptcy of Botchil City, who's team and status was bought out by a collective that formed Building North, which takes residence high in the Northeast Division. To adjust, a team from the Northeast was moved to the Southeast. This was Green County Football, who agreed if given the opportunity to play in the Major League. This motion was challenged by Purgatory Zachriel and Keven FC, and the rest was put to a one time round robin between the three teams. Green County Football won the two affairs and was promoted to the SE Major League. As Building North was a new team, they took residence in the NE Minor League.
